The Michigan Lottery is looking for a dependable, honest, motivated, and hardworking individual with a positive attitude and strong ethical standards to join our team!
The incumbent will serve as a front line representative at the Region 1 Lottery Claims Office which is located in the Cadillac Place at 3060 W. Grand Blvd. in Detroit. The main duty of this position is to assist staff in performing claim center duties. The incumbent will also answer telephones and disseminate information to staff and the general public. Perform various clerical and merchandising functions based on operational needs.
To qualify for this position, you must be currently enrolled and regularly attending a post-secondary educational institution.

Please note: Employees who are employed in the Student Assistant classification are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week and no more than 129 hours per month.

No specific type or amount is required.
Additional Requirements and Information
Lottery employees and family members residing within the same household are prohibited from purchasing lottery tickets and from participating as a worker in charitable gaming events licensed by the bureau (e.g. bingo, raffle, etc.).
Civil Service Rule 2-7 requires that all newly hired state employees submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment.
The position will require the selected candidate to pass a criminal history background check.
